Polls are open at Australia House in London every day from August 9th to August 20th from 11am to 8pm apart from Sunday 15th.

Polls are not open on Saturday 21 August 2010 due to the time difference between London and the closing of polls at 6pm Western Australia time. However the last polling  day August 20th polls are open to 10pm.

Australia House is the largest polling station in Australian elections and you can vote in any electrorate in Australia there.

Voters will be security checked and seen in the order they arrive. so people do not bring large bags/backpacks with you when they vote. We also recommend that any ‘dangerous’ goods (such as scissors or knives) not be brought to the High Commission. You do not need to bring identification.

Postal Voting

If you do not wish to vote in person, you can also vote by post. To do this, you must first complete a Postal Vote Application form which can be downloaded from the www.aec.gov.au. After you have downloaded the form, printed it off, completed it and had it witnessed by an appropriate witness (see AEC website), please either post it to:

Only after the Australian High Commission has received permission from the AEC to release the ballot papers to voters by post, will those who have lodged Postal Vote Applications be mailed their ballot papers.
