Australians urged to vote in London elections

Australians are being urged to ensure they enrol to vote by 16 April 2008 for the London Mayoral elections.
Australians living in the UK are entitled to vote in the all local, European and National elections in Britain because they are Commonwealth citizens.

Australians are entitled to enrol immedialty on settling in the UK. You may be enrolled to vote in the UK and Australia at the same time.  Registration is conducted by your local Council and you can get an  enrolment form from the local Council

"There are 200000 Australians in London and I urge them all to to ensure that they are enrolled to vote and to ensure that they use their vote to ensure that the city remains a diverse world city by supporting Ken Livingstone" said Paul Smith ,President of ALP Abroad.
