We have the organised a room downstairs bar for solely for the ALP Abroad.The event is open to all members of the public and is not restricted to members of ALP Abroad.
Senator Sherry's biography
Elected to the Senate for Tasmania 1990. Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Primary Industries and Energy 1993-96. Chair of the Senate Select Committee on Superannuation from 1991-93 and deputy chair of Superannuation and Financial Services Senate Select from 1999-02. A member of the Joint Statutory for Public Accounts and Audit from 01-02.
Parliamentary party positions: Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Senate for 1996-97.
Shadow Minister for Finance and Superannuation for 1996-97. Assistant Treasurer and Shadow Minister for Superannuation and Business Regulation 1997. Shadow Minister for Retirement Incomes and Savings from 2001-2004
Prior to the 2007 federal election, Senator Sherry was Shadow Minister for Superannuation and Intergenerational Finance; Banking and Financial Services. He is now Minister for Superannuation and Corporate Governance.
