Overseas voters can now receive ballot papers in one of two ways:

By email (express vote) – quicker, but the complete secrecy of your vote cannot be guaranteed

By post (postal vote) – slower, but the secrecy of your vote is assured.
Applying for an express vote
Voters situated overseas during the election are able to request a special express vote. Those requesting an express vote will either be emailed or faxed:

Applying for a postal vote
Voters situated overseas during the election can still request a postal vote to be mailed to an overseas address. Postal votes are sent through normal mail services, which may take some time to be delivered.
The postal vote must be completed and placed in the mail by polling day. There are 10 days following polling day in which the TEC can receive returned postal votes. Votes received after the 10-day period cannot be included in the election.
