Are you still on the roll?

Make sure that you are still enrolled, and can cast a valid vote in the 2007 poll.
The Electoral roll closed on October 17th.  If you are not currently enrolled, you will not be able to vote in the 2007 election.
To check your enrolment:

1) Put your details into this online database. If you cannot remember the address that you were last enrolled at in Australia, contact the AEC by email (info@aec.gov.au).  If you do not receive a reply within a reasonable time, contact us.

2) If you are not enrolled and you have been overseas for less than three years, but intend to return to Australia within six years of your departure date, you should download and complete this form to register as an overseas voter. Complete the form online before printing to sign, then post or fax it using the details on the form, or scan it and email to info@aec.gov.au .  This will not entitle you to vote in the 2007 election, but you will remain on the roll for another six years.

Please be aware that registration as an overseas elector does not mean you will be sent ballot papers. Electors must vote in person at an Australian diplomatic post which provides full consular services or apply for a postal vote.

3) If you are still enrolled to vote... and intend to leave Australia within the next three months or have been overseas for less than three years, but intend to return to Australia within six years of your departure date, you should download and complete this form to keep your name on the roll and preserve your vote. Complete the form online before printing to sign, then post or fax it using the details on the form, or scan it and email to info@aec.gov.au
