You can vote by post - start by downloading the Postal Vote Application form from the AEC's site.

You can apply for a postal vote in two ways:

  1. In person through any Australian embassy, consulate, high commission or mission. Ask the mission or embassy for a Postal Vote Application form, fill it in and post, fax or hand it back to the mission or embassy

  2. A Postal Vote Application form can be downloaded here , and then mailed, faxed or scanned and emailed (you must print the form and sign it with a pen) to your closest Australian embassy, consulate, high commission or mission

Ballot papers and postal voting forms will be sent to an address of your choice. You must then complete the ballot papers, sign it, have your witness sign and date it, then post these materials in the declaration vote envelope before 6:00pm AEST on Election Day - Saturday 21 August.
